Inverness (in Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Nis) is the administrative center of the region of Highlands, and was previously the capital County Inverness-shire. The city, which has the status of the City, was proclaimed capital of the Highlands.

Inverness is situated at the mouth of the River Ness in the north-east of Scotland.

Population and 58 963: (Fifty eight thousand nine hundred and sixty to three) inhabitants.

Loch Ness is a freshwater lake extending 42 km (forty-two) in the Highlands of Scotland (United Kingdom), which is the deepest lake, reaching 282 m (Two hundred eighty-two) in places, with an average of 150 m (Two hundred eighty-two).

Place to visit or activities to do in Scotland:

1/ Skye:

Facing the west coast of Scotland, Skye is the largest island of the Inner Hebrides archipelago. With an area of 1736 km ², it is the second largest island in Scotland.

We can be reached by ferry from Mallaig to start, even if it is now connected to the mainland by a bridge. This crossing of 30 minutes is a good way to get a first glimpse of the island.

Scott Monument is the name of a Gothic Revival monument in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built in honor of Sir Walter Scott; the great writer was born in the city.

This monument is located in the gardens of Princes Street, opposite Jenner, Princes Street department store, near Edinburgh Waverley Station. The tower is 61.1(sixty one) meters high and a spiral staircase of 287 (two hundred eighty seven) steps can reach the small observation platform near the top.

The tower is built of schist from the town of Livingston. The oil continues to flow stones helped to give the monument its blackish color.

After the death of Walter Scott in 1832, a competition was opened to draw plans for a monument in his honor.

One participant was presented under the pseudonym "John Morvo" name of the architect of the medieval Abbey of Melrose. Morvo was actually George Meikle Kemp,
