The tell-tale heart

- At the beginning of the story, the killer wants to prove he is not a crazy man. Because he killed the old man very calmly and wisely. Not like a criminal. The narrator liked the old man but he hated only his “evil eye”. That why he wanted to kill the poor old man.

- After this, he told how he proceed to kill the old man. For seven nights, the narrator opened the door of the bedroom of the old man, in order to shine a sliver of light into the "evil eye". However, the old man's vulture-eye is always closed, making it impossible to do his murder.

- However, at the eighth night, the narrator opened the door of the old man room’s and he saw that the old man awaken because the killer did noise.

- But the narrator stay and did nothing. After a long time, he decided to open his lantern. A ray of light shine came to the “evil eye”. The “evil eye” was open.

- So this is the time for the narrator to kill the old man. He fall the bed on the man and swatted him.

- After this abominable crime, the narrator dismembered the body and concealed the pieces under the floorboards.

- But during the crime, a neighbor heard the old man scream’s , so he called the police.

- When the police arrived at four hours, the killer was totally normal and no nervous or chocked. So he takes the policemen in the scene of crime. He showed the bedroom and said all it’s totally normal, the screams came to his nightmare and the old man is doing a journey and moreover the police find any evidence of a crime.

- So, when the policemen saw that all is normal, they began to talk with the murderer. The policemen were sit and talked together during the night.

- But after a few times, the narrator heard a ringing in his ears. He thanks it was the heartbeat of the old man coming from under the floorboards. But the policemen seem to pay no attention to it.

- The killer is afraid by this noise so he breaks down and confesses that the body is under the floorboards.
