Dialogue about the biography of William Shakespeare

Angela: Hello! Today, 23rd September 1602, we’re going to talk about Shakespeare’s life. I’m in the Richmond Palace, in the company of William, the Queen of England and Ireland, Anne Hathaway and another journalist.

Aymeric: My name is William Shakespeare. I was born in 1564 in the city of Stratford-upon-Avon, hence I spent my childhood. I’m called “The Bard of Avon”. Moreover, I live during the Elizabethan and Jacobean. I’m currently working in London.

Anne: Hello, I’m Anne Hathaway, the William’s ex-wife. I’m going to told our relationship with him.
So… at the age of eighteen, William married me, we had three children together, but one of our child, Hamnet died at the age of eleven. Furthermore, he was a great playwright and the world’s greatest dramatist. In 1593, his first printed works were published like “Venus and Adonis.

Angela: I’m listing his works during his life. So… William Shakespeare’s works include thirty-eight plays, two narrative poems, one hundred fifty-four sonnets, and a variety of other poems. Although his professional career was spent in London; he maintained close links with his native town.

Queen Elizabeth: Hello, I’m Queen Elizabeth 1st. I’ll talk about his main works. So… he wrote many dramas such as “Romeo and Juliet” which was published before 1597 and it was a success and the piece was known around the world. What’s more, he became a founding member of the Lord Chamberlain’s Men, a company of actors. He also wrote many of his famous tragedies, such as “King Lear and Macbeth”, as well as great romances like “The Winter’s Tale” and “The Tempest”.

Britney: I’ll talk about his death and sum up. He died on April, 23rd 1616 at the age of fifty-two.  In conclusion, we can say, William Shakespeare was a fabulous dramatist, he marked his time with his works which are now known around the world and which have become classics of literature.
