Emmeline pankhurst

Emmeline Pankhurst is born at Manchester (big city on the middle of England) the 07/15/1858 and she die the 06/14/1928.

She did some big things for the right of women in England. Thanks to her the women can vote since the 7 February 1918. And create the organization Women’s Social and Political Union.

Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) is founded the 10 October 1903 by Emmeline Pankhurst and those daughters (Christabel, Sylvia and Adela). At the beginning they are unsung but after many action the people start to know them idea. They action aren’t peaceful, for example they burn some big propriety (golf field where woman isn’t accepting) and broke some showcase. They did that for be sung. The other feminist party like national Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies wasn’t agree with them actions.

Many years after the women can vote but they need to have more than 30 years old (the man need to have more than 21 years old). But it’s a great advancement for the right of woman.

I chose her because before my work I never heard something about her and it’s important to know the past to build a better future.

I think it is still important to speak about the people from the past today because we must see the old mistakes to not make them today. We must take for example Emmeline she did some mistake of course like everybody but she did some great things for her country and her right
