Today I’m going to talk about street art in Montpellier made by an artist named Efix.

There are a lot of street art forms such as mosaic tilling, mural, stencil art, paste up, yam bombing… But I would like to talk you about street installations.

The work of art i well tell you about is a steet installations by Efix.

This work named Lisa Simpson plays in the street in reference to the episode of the cartoon named Lisa’s sax was painted in 2018. This work is in a little street of Montpellier. It represents Lisa Simpson with her saxophone.

Efix is a complete artist : he is a street artist, DJ, musician, producer, graphic designer, video maker… He is using the humor and the famous cartoons like the Simpsons to deliver his message of carelessness and good mood.

In the foreground, there is Lisa Simpson. She is wearing her red dress with red shoes and a peal necklace. As ususally in the cartoon, she is paying sax but here with a pipe.

When they are looking at this work, the artist and the public are imagining that this curved discharge pipe is Lisa’s favorite musical instrument, her saxophone.

Next to Lisa there’s an air vent that looks like an amplifier or a microphone to broadcast the music.

To conclude and from my point of view, this work is simple, the drawing is not complex, besause the artist is expressing his message by integrating into it a common street installation.
