                       Wind turbine

MATHEO PARLE : Hello,today , we will introduce you , the system of the wind turbine. In first, we  going to describe the way of the energy in the system of the wind turbine:

CLEMENT PARLE :a wind turbine needs wind to operate, when there is wind, the wind passes at the blades to make them turn and thanks to the kinetic energy of the wind, the rotor works and turns the blades at a certain speed then thanks to the rotor.

This starts a tree at low speed so that it adapts the speed for the tree at high speed and thus transfer the kinetic energy of the wind to the generator so that it converts the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy.

CLEMENT PARLE : Secondly, we going to describe the control of the rotor speed in the system of the wind turbine:

MATHEO PARLE : So, if there is too much wind, a sensor called an anemometer will detect the wind, if it detects that there is too much wind, it will send alerts to the controller, via cables.

CLEMENT PARLE :

moreover, in the wind turbine system there is a cable torsion sensor, what is it? It is a sensor that can control the cables when they are too tight, if the wind turbine turns too much on itself, the cables can be wound and thus the system can be defective and thanks to this sensor, if a cable is too tight, the information goes through cables to the brain-motor to give the information to turn the other way.

MATHEO PARLE :

then the controller will transfer the brake alerts and the pitch system.and finally, if the wind is too strong, the brake will temporarily stop the system, otherwise the pitch system will reduce the mechanical stress and thus avoid the destruction of the system, including the generator.

MATHEO PARLE :To Finish , we going to describe , the orientation of the nacelle:

CLEMENT PARLE :The orientation of the nacelle is directed firstly by a wind vane.the wind vane makes it possible to detect the origin of the wind and  allow the nacelle to remain oriented facing the wind.

MATHEO PARLE :The wind vane sends information through cables to the motor yaw, then the motor yaw is activated and the yaw drive is turned on.Finally, the yaw drive will orient the pod facing the wind and recover the kinetic energy of the wind.
