Term Project Plan

Every observatory, telescope and astronomer on Earth have a target; the universe, a place minimally investigated by humans. Being inquisitive creatures, humans are eager to comprehend how exactly the universe functions. In my term project, I will be expounding a device used by scientists, that significantly enhances human knowledge of the inscrutable universe: the Gemini Observatory. This specific observatory exerts extreme incomparability and importance in the district of Astronomy. The Gemini Observatory is not only uniquely composed of two individual telescopes, but situated on the most optimum observing locations on Earth: the mountains of Chile and Hawaii. These locations permit the ability to observe and gain access to the whole sky. The Gemini Observatory encompasses a broad selection of optical and infrared strength making its performance simply astonishing. As a result of caring the finest image quality achievable compared to telescopes of similar size as well as the clearest possible telescopes for the best infrared examination, both from Earth's surface, this observatory captured irreplaceable observations of planets beyond our solar system. Through the use of these incredible telescopes, human have the ability to explore the universe in depth. In order to emphasize the crucial usage of the Gemini telescopes, I will display my term project in a short podcast format. While working on this enriching project, I would like to gain an understanding of the effects it has on the study of astronomy and on the entire world.
