The zero contract hours is a contract which not guaranteed neither weekly working time, nor minimum wage.

  1. What are the disadvantages of ZHCs for workers?

Be inconveniences for the employees are that they have to remain available all the time for the employers.

They cannot organize their day as them wish it

The number of hours paid being very variable, the workers cannot plan a precise monthly budget or organize their timetable

it affects the people in a precarious situation, who need work

The advantage for the employers is that they have of the available staff quickly

The zero contract the hour puts the people in the precariousness but also he allows them to survive

No it is not a solution because the employers uses it not to employ durably the people

I do not think that a similar contract is possible in France because the labor law protects the employees. The employees have an hourly fixed rate, paid leaves
