Eric

Amy Grace is a 40 years old american woman from Florida. She is a journalist of a small chanel on TV. She is really fond of her job because she is an extremely curious person who is interested in everything and with who you would never be bored. She has a remarkable general knowledge and is especially into science, she could talk a day long about it ! She is involved in a charity organisation to help finding treatments for sick children.

She is, in addition, a really sporty girl, she loves to go running in the morning with her son. She isn’t that much into technology and thinks it is a lost of time especially for the teenagers of today. However strict and tidy Amy can be, she is a caring, brave and loving mother for her son.

Eric Grace is a sixteen years old teenager that has a particularity : he has a big problem to his left leg, he needs robotic help to walk and run. Despite this handicap, Eric is a cheerful boy, interested in books, gaming and basket ball. He has average grades at school but he doesn’t care that much about it, he wants to become a professional gamer at his mother despair. As opposed to his obsession of video games, he is a real romantic guy, he enjoyes poetry but doesn’t show it that much, he’s quite shy. In addition, basket ball has always been something important for him. After the accident, he begged his mom to accept to let him play with technological help and she agreed. Since then, he carefully practice his passion every wednesday !

Amy and Grace had always had a good relationship, Amy really trusts her son and they like to talk to each other and practice some sports together like running. Eric’s parents are divorced and he gets on a bit less with his father. Two years ago Eric was hit by a car and this terrible event has strenghten the link between the mother and the son really hard. The only point they disagree on is the futur of Eric : he is crazy about gaming and wants to become a professional gamer. His mom is against that idea but she always thought that he wouldn’t actually achieve his goal, that it was just a dream of children.

The problem of the serie begins when Amy founds out by error a letter from a gaming academy in Eric’s room. He registered himself in the « American Gaming Center » without letting his mom know and the school accepted him !

His mom was so angry with Eric, she wanted him to study and go in a great university near home. In addition of being a gaming school, it was in New York ! Amy didn’t want to let her son go with all his medical needs and in a city as far as New York.

When he came back to school, they had a rough fight where they explained to each other their opinion but the mother didn’t agree with Eric and told him she was not fine with him studying gaming and furthermore in New York. During weeks Eric tried to persuate his mother but nothing could change her mind. Their relationship wasn’t the same anymore and they kept fighting all the time.

 One day Eric decided to leave the house of her mother to go living with his dad. This decision broke the heart of Amy, who was then living by her own.

After that, Eric started to work in a shop to get some money to afford his gaming university by his own. Months later, he started query himself,  even though he was sure about his decision of studying gaming, wasn’t new york a bit far, wasn’t it dangerous for his health problem ? Did he actually wanted to leave away from his mom ? One day he decided to go back to his maternal house to talk to her in real, they only had talked by phone since the fight. He realised in the way home, he had missed his mother so much and would be able to change his opinion about the university if she asked him to do so.
