Déforestation

• Actions of deforestation and land clearing by incineration and burning of forest plants

• Agriculture is the main cause of deforestation because the forest areas are destroyed and replaced by agricultural areas

• Illegal logging is a pervasive problem, causing enormous damage to forests.

• It is the harvest, transportation, purchase or sale of timber in violation of laws

• Deforestation occurs for many reasons: trees are cut down to be used or sold as fuel (sometimes in the form of charcoal) or timber, while cleared land is used as pasture for livestock, plantations of commodities

• Each year, about 13 million hectares of forest are lost and worldwide are degraded or destroyed by fire.

• Incineration and burning of forest plants to clear land releases large amounts of CO2, 1.5 billion tons of carbon into the atmosphere each year.

Economy or ecology ?

The main issue today is economics or ecology

if we choose ecology we must make efforts such as recycling paper

if we let farmland replace forestry areas then million trees will be lost
