Introduction

This report provides information obtained through the television program on CBC called Dragon’s Den in order to choose the best investment opportunity for Crump Investment. This report will pay particular attention to the earning power and the contestants’ ingenious ideas.

Description of contestants

1.    John Miller, Jim Harrison, & Ali Khonsari –Powerdent 

       Product:              Denture brush.

       Headquarters:   Collingwood, Ontario.

       Request:              $200,000.

       Exchange offer: 10% of the company.  

       Powerdent uses pulse technology to clean all surfaces of denture. The company creates      

       the first power dual head brush in the world, and it has a license for this technology.            

       Powerdent sold 500 units, as a first order, in 60 days at $39.99 and ordered 4,500 units.

2.    Kurt & Kris Goodjohn –Karoleena Custom Homes 

       Product:              Prefabricated houses.

       Headquarters:   Calgary, Alberta.

       Request:              $500,000.

       Exchange offer: 25% of the company.

       Karoleena Homes designs, builds, delivers, and installs prefabricated homes across      

       Canada and United States in just 6 months (2 weeks for assembly).

3.    Milad Modir & Jamil Haidari –SuperSales Tag 

       Product:              Marketing tool.

       Headquarters:   Toronto, Ontario.

       Request:              $100,000.

       Exchange offer: 20% of the company.

       SuperSales Tag creates an electronic marketing tool in order to inform customers with    

       the company promotions and help boost sales. Until today, the sales are about 335 units.  

         

4.    Richard Lambert & Tony Warns –The Skrapr 

       Product:              Tool to clean hard surfaces.

       Headquarters:   Toronto, Ontario.

       Request:              $250,000.

       Exchange offer: 5% of the company.

       The Skrapr invented a Skrapr that doesn’t scratch. Last year, the sales were about  

       $200,000 and this year will be about two and half million dollars. In addition, the    

       company has no competitors in this field.  

5.    Mark Rho –Mascare 

       Product:              Sanitary mask.

       Headquarters:   Victoria, British Columbia.

       Request:              $100,000.

       Exchange offer: 20% of the company.

       Mascare invented plans to clean up the food industry with its new sanitary mask. The    

       revenue was about $600,000 last year and $800,000 this year. The company sold
