The planning of my trip to London began with booking some train tickets on the French site: "Voyages-sncf.com". Joannie and I decided impulsively to go to London.

We booked two train tickets from Paris to Saint Pancras.

Our trip took place from February 25th to February 28th.

We rent a room on the website "Airbandb".

Thursday, February 25th

On departure day, we boarded the train and sat at our respective seats. We finally arrived at 10 am.

To go to our room, we needed to take the subway. But I forgot the map and the indication at home and we did not know which line to take.

We left the station and met five girls. I asked the road, they used "google map" to show us that we had to take the Victoria line and stop at Lambeth north. They explained that out of the underground, we had to turn left twice and we would find the house.

Once in the subway station, I did not know what kind of ticket we needed, I asked the question to an employee and he checked my itinerary. He gently laughed at us : " Are you travelling without a map? Don’t be surprised if you are lost.". He gave us some advice for the rest of our stay in London

I was surprised by the cleanliness of the subway, it is prettier and cleaner than the Parisian underground.

We discovered the room and we had a view on the London Eye from our window, Then we went around the neighborhood for a drink and to have something to eat. We bought a hot dog in a snack bar.

On returning we chatted with our room neighbors who were French and settled permanently in London.

Friday, February 26th

We went to the restaurant « Ready to eat » to have a good breakfast. The menu was composed of a bagel with eggs and bacon, tea and cookies.

We took a famous red bus with two floors to reach Picadilly circus. This is one of the most famous and most visited places in London. The statue of Eros with his bow gives the impression to draw arrows on tourists.

We continued with the famous m & m's shop.

The British spirit is very present inside the store. There are for example figurines bearing the likeness of the Royal Guards, the Queen of England or the typically English red buses.

Temptation was everywhere because of the chocolate smell floating in the store. It was very difficult to resist and leave without buying anything!

It was an enchanted world. After gaining 5 kilos, we went to Gerrard Street, which is the London Chinatown. This is the heart of the Chinese community in London. We saw a lot of decoration related to the Chinese New Year festival.

We continued our walk in Oxford Street, it was the way that the condemned took to go to their execution place. We enjoyed shopping there, there were all ready-to-wear brands (New Look, Nike, Forever 21, Zara ect.) There were a lot of people.
