Introduction:

Varicella is a commune childhood illness. Most of adult had varicella when they were young. We can have varicella two times in our life but it’s very rare.

This disease is very contagious caused by varicella zoster virus. When you have varicella a lot of spot appeared. It’s why we called this disease chickenpox sometimes.

Way of transmission

 

The virus spreads in the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It can also be spread by touching or breathing in the virus particles that come from chickenpox blisters. If you never had varicella, you can catch it just if you are in a similar place with someone who has it. Varicella can be contagious in a period of 1 to 2 days before the spot appeared. And it always contagious until all the spot has completely disappeared. That can take 10 to 21 days after the contact with someone who are infect for somebody develop the disease.

Treatment

The vaccinated against varicella is the best way to prevent the disease and for consequence to protect people to grave complications and to the death who can be associate to varicella. Among ten people vaccine, eight to nine are completely protected against varicella. The vaccine avoid most of the time a grave event. If a people contract varicella, and he is vaccine most of the time is minor.

So the vaccines is efficient to prevent the disease or just help to make the disease less serious if he used in the 3 days after being exposed to somebody who had varicella

Children older that 1 years should be vaccinated to be sure they had less chances to catch this disease. But also if you are teenagers or adult you can need a vaccine if you never catch varicella.
