After reading it is clear that the cruise line entertainment is undervalued. Passengers are paying more than enough to not only enjoy a beautiful ocean view and sunset but also great new experiences. The problems are low quality everyday entertainment that passengers can get any time of day, also mismatch between entertainment offered and the actual desired by c passengers.

The cruise line should try to understand their passengers at the starting point before booking any entertainments. Many passengers tend to purchase their tickets few months in advance. The cruise line should offer a survey during each purchase to gather information as to entertainment and activities passengers would like to be offered.

The most effective way to resolve this issue is through data, research and passengers’ reviews. We can top cruise line to gather information on entertainment that are offered in and also most important is data we will collect from surveys that are done by buyer when purchasing their tickets and passengers at the end of the trip. Today most people rely on review when making purchase. There should be a time spent on passengers’ review to answers their concerns and take the opportunity to ask question as to what entertainments they would like on their next trip even if it’s not with the same cruise line.

A schedule for shows and event show be kept but in a way that is subject to change based on shows attendance. Ex: a show with little to no attendance can be canceled and replace with the most popular show for multiple viewing times. keeping a strict schedule will only drastically lower attendant. Passengers are on the cruse to freely enjoy themselves and free time and not being told what to do every single time of the day.

To get almost all passengers to attend a show the cruse can offer a n incentive in form of a free drinks for attending. This will be a financial cost but will increase attendance and even take time to survey the room to determine whether are just showing for the drink or are actually enjoying the shows. This should be a short-term consideration to determine the shows and activities for future passengers and save money when booking shows for the cruise.
