Bring me color to my life

(a Tupac story fanfiction)

Summary: “It’s hard to live in this world alone with no one on your side. Maybe I have to disappear, I don’t want to hurt anybody no more.”

Tupac Shakur, a superstar, a billionaire, was accused of rape and everybody saw as a pure evil. He struggled with the depression and had to face the world alone. But one day, when Pac was in his jailcell, he received a letter from a young woman, named Angela Ardis. Will she manage to bring colors to Tupac’s life?

Chapter 1: The news

November, 18th, 1994, 10.am

“Rap singer and actor Tupac Shakur was arrested in his hotel in New York, he was accusing of abusing a 19 year-old young woman. Few weeks ago on October 31st , Tupac Shakur shot 2 off-duty police officer in Atlanta. Since he became famous, he doesn’t stop accumulating troubles”. A female journalist reported in front of Shakur’s hotel.

Tupac Shakur, a superstar was wearing handcuffs like a criminal

“ I am arrested,

Cameras are on me,

All those judger eyes are on me

All these people are on me

I feel like trapped in my own fame

I’m no longer a human being

They see me like an animal

Like a fierce beast”

Those words crossed Tupac’s mind. He just couldn’t believe it. He was accused of a crime that he certainly knew he never committed it.

“M. Shakur do you really commit this crime?” A male reporter asked, sticking his micro on Pac’s face.

“No” Tupac’s answer sounded like a whisper, it was barely audible

“M. Shakur did you disappoint your fans?” a female reporter asked

“Yeah” Pac responded before getting in the police car

“But I hope they will support me despite this bullshit” (Tupac’s deepest thought)

So Pac got in the car and cameras are still on him, reporters were taking photos and filming, he was looking around him with sad eyes but he knew there’s nobody who could see his pain, his sadness. He felt that the whole world was against him and he had to face it all alone.

“ You shot 2 off-duty police officers, our comrades and you really think you could sleep easily? Karma catches you n*****” A policeman said

“I couldn’t say anything

I wasn’t even pay attention on the policeman’s words

I was just lost in my thoughts

I just couldn’t believe what happened to me

My fame really traps me

I could feel tears coming

But I refuse to let it flow

I am Tupac Amaru Shakur

Son of a former Black Panther member

And I will defend myself until my last breath

I won’t go to jail for a crime that I didn’t commit”

End of the chapter 1

Chapter 2:  Pain and misery

November, 28th 1994,

‘Being in police custody, courts, trials,

Cameras, flashes, people around me

I tried so harsh to tell everybody ‘I am innocent’

But it feels like in vain

I can’t defend myself

I guess everybody thinks I am a rapist

Then why am I keeping on fighting if nobody is by my side?

My whole life is ruined,

My future is vanished

I am definitely trapped in my own fame

I don’t have any reason to live in this world’.

Time passed and the situation worsened for Pac. Every time, when he walked in the streets, when he went somewhere, people called him shouting "rapist, rapist", if they had the opportunity to do it. It's almost like a daily life for Pac: being insulted, humiliated, disgraced. And the media didn’t help though, with the bullshit they used to tell on TV.

‘M. Shakur what’s your opinion about the situation?’ a female reporter asked

‘Are you guilty?’ a male asked

Pac just came out of the court and he was welcomed by tons of questions.

‘same cameras, same people, same eyes on me’

‘For now on, the judge didn’t give his verdict yet so I am not found guilty yet. But I just want my fans to know that I keep fighting this trial. I repeat a million times, I didn’t rape this woman. I keep maintaining my innocence. I refuse to go to jail for a crime I did not commit. I know I’m not the most perfect human being in the world but I’m not a criminal either. I’m not someone who robs you or rapes you or things, I am a businessman.’

‘But what about the Thug Life? A male journalist asked

‘Did the judge talk about the Thug life ?’ a female journalist asked

‘Please make this nightmare stop’

‘I just want everything to stop’

‘I need the world to stop’

‘M. Shakur answered all of your questions now, justice will be served. We present to the judge all the evidence which prove that my client didn’t rape this woman, as she claims. But now on, we are waiting for the judge’s verdict. Thank you’ Pac’s lawyer said

And then Tupac and his lawyer, strayed away from the crowd of journalists/reporters, ready to get in the car. Pac was completely lost in his thoughts, exhausted by all this situation. He just wanted to cry, let his pain out entirely, he just need someone to talk but he felt like there was nobody in his side, to tell him that everything is alright. Of course his mother, his family supported him no matter what, but he could see they are tired of this situation too. He was like the reason of all these troubles.
