Mark Twain :

Mark Twain, is an American writer and humorist born November 30, 1835 in Florida, United States. To support the family's needs, the young Clemens abandoned his studies and became an apprentice typographer in the village printing house. In 1850, he joined the newspaper founded by his brother and wrote his first articles. His real name is Samuel Langhorne Clemens but he is called Mark Twain because he meets a steamboat captain named Horace E. Bixby, who manages to convince him to work for him. From this meeting was born his pseudonym: when he checked the depth of the river, the captain shouted "mark twain!", jargon words to indicate that the depth was sufficient. He was inspired by these trips in his novels.
