First, you have to know who is Jack The Ripper. In fact, Jack the Ripper is the best-known name given to an unidentified serial killer who was active in the largely impoverished areas in and around the Whitechapel district of London in 1888.

“On the tracks of Jack the ripper” is a famous nocturnal tour of London. During this walk an english guide explains the story of Jack the Ripper and takes us to all the scene of the crime, in an atmosphere which is both cheerful and terrifying. Even Johnny Depp has made this visit to learn more about this character before making a film about this story.

Why involve our students in this visit ?

This visit is educational, because students learn a significant part of the history

of London. The whole story has greatly influenced the Londoner’s minds especially as one of the four main murder, was the worst in the history of crime. So, this is a special visit to do especially at night in order to have even more thrills.

Moreover this visit can be very rewarding for their general culture it can be a very good activity.

The tour is very original because it allows us to see a part of London while combining fun with history but also pedagogy for teachers, because this visit is usually in English. So they could enrich their english vocabulary and learn words they would not have learned without this visit. And this walk could be the more interresting visit for students.

This walk is probably the most unusual visit of london but it allows everyone to have a great time

It's an attractive visit beacause, through this visit we can discover the sinister and ghostly side of London, and go in the bloody footsteps of Jack the Ripper. That is why this tour is sure to give you goosebumps! We can visit four sites of murders that took place in Whitechapel.
