The ‘’Mona Lisa’’ painting was painted by Leonardo Da Vinci, in Florence. It took him at least 3 years to paint it, more exactly from 1503 to 1506.  Leonardo had painted the ‘’Mona Lisa’’ for a merchant who wanted to give his wife a gift, her self-portrait. I find that the ‘’Mona Lisa’’ painting is a very good portrait for the years it has been painted. Actually, at this time, portraits were very rare. It was rare because it was long to paint, and the painted person had to stay in position for hours or days without moving. This painting is now in the Louvre Museum, in Paris. This paint became the second objet the more visited in the entire world, right after the diamond, with 200 000 visitors who come visit and photograph it daily. In my opinion, I find that this painting is the most beautiful of all, because it has been painted with delicacy. Also, in this time there were no sophisticated brush, so I think it was harder to paint something precise. The details of the painting are also very exact, and I find that this is what makes the painting look real. In my opinion, this painting will gain value with the years and will always stay the painting the more popular, because of its meaning, but also because the painter is known by everyone.
