  3)    Animal agriculture is one of the main causes of the most pressing environmental problems, namely global warming, land degradation, air and water pollution and loss of biodiversity. Despite its far-reaching environnemental impacts, animal husbandry is not a main force in the global economy.

Greenhouse gases are singled out for their role in global warming.

When we talk about greenhouse gases, we often talk about the emission from our cars. But did you know that animal husbandry emits even more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry?

We’re talking about 18% of the gases from animal agriculture.
