Nowadays, London is one of the most famous cities in the world.

It is the most populous metropolis in England, the capital and home of the British Royal Family. It has a population of approximately 8.982 million and attracts more than 20 800 000 tourists each year.

However, we can see that London has positive and negative sides.

On the one hand, London is a city with negative sides.

Indeed, contradictions and differences between rich and poor people are present in the city : the situation is unequal: the city is divided into several parts so that the level of living is not the same for everyone.

For example, the rich don’t need to use public services : they send their children to private schools, so that they don’t mix with poorer children.

In addition, the rich live in multimillion costing houses, opt for private schools and private hospitals that cost a lot of money, while others have a hard life, live in poverty and misery, and cannot enjoy London's nice places, such as restaurants and theaters, because they are too expensive.

Moreover, in London, there is less crime, violence and social problems in the rich neighbourhoods than in the poor neighbourhoods.

So find this unfair because our lives depend on our race and the social background we belong to.

I think everyone should have the same services and be treated the same, whether they are rich or poor.

On the other hand, London is a city with positive sides. Indeed, it is a very mixed and diverse city.

Indeed, the population of London is composed of white and black people, old or young and who come from all over the world. Some of them come from Canada, South Africa, France but also from the United States and have different origins as for example some of them are Muslim. London is also a multicultural city: more than 270 nationalities are represented and more than 250 languages are spoken in the city. Moreover, it is one of the most linguistically diverse cities in the world.

It is a city that attracts tourists thanks to its rich heritage and historical monuments such as Big Ben, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace, for example.

Also, in London, you have the freedom to carry what you want, to express yourself and to do what you want: there are taxis or red buses to get around, for example.

Finally, there are many things to do in London if you earn a good living: there are parks, museums, theaters, shows and different types of restaurants. Basically, it's a city that is constantly on the move and there are plenty of things to discover.

In conclusion, even if there is more social inequality in London than in other cities in England, I think it remains a city with many faces.

Personally, I have already been to London and I think it is a very nice city. It is a very good place to live if you earn a good living!
