Banksy left a work of art on the wall of my house how was my reaction? Happy and proud or dissatisfied and angry?

One day, I woke up, heard so much noise outside that I opened my window! I saw a crowd looking at the wall of my house. I recognised some neighbours; once they saw me, they asked me to come outside… First, I was scared if it were an emergency (fire or something else) but, once I was out, I looked at the wall of my house and discovered something incredible: there was a Banksy piece of art on my wall. I said: “Waowwwww!” I cannot tell you now if I was happy or worried.

I had mixed feelings…I tried to understand to be able to take a decision…Keep it or erase it?

I said to myself: “First, Banksy is a famous artist, I now have a painting for free on the wall of my house, and I suppose my house will probably gain value. Also, Banksy has chosen the wall of my house and not another one; it means my house is inspiring for him, what a privilege and an honour! I suppose that not only it is decorative but more, it can become the wall with an artistic message!

However, my wall will become a tourist curiosity. My family and I will be invaded, with people asking questions and we won’t have any privacy. Moreover, it can be a big responsibility because it can have bad consequences: violence between pros and cons, legal problems to know if I can keep it or not, threats for my family if some people would like to damage the building. I suppose I will be obliged to invest for security to preserve this piece of art!”

In my opinion, even if Banksy hasn’t asked me before leaving his piece of art on my wall, I will keep it and protect it! Admiring the artist, I would be honoured to convey his message!

As a conclusion, street art has now become an artistic movement throughout the world. Some people may think it is illegal for they use graffiti in public places and this can be considered as deterioration of public places. Some other people may think it beautify places.

I would prefer looking at a Banksy piece of art instead of a grey dirty wall, it opens my mind!
