Hello, I chose the story of Elizabeth Knocker and Mairi Chisholm because for me their actions they carried out for the war are so brave and courageous. Elizabeth Knocker, was a British nurse and paramedic during the First World War. Mairi Lambert Gooden, known as Mairi Chisholm, was a Scottish nurse and paramedic during the First World War. Together with her friend Elizabeth Knocker, she won numerous medals for her bravery and for saving the lives of thousands of soldiers on the Western Front in Belgium.

They made themselves useful in times of war to meet the needs of soldiers. During the First World War, they help wounded soldiers, they save lives by putting themselves in danger. Elizabeth, also named Elsie, is a trained nurse. She decides to create a care zone to help near the front line. They made themselves useful in times of war to meet the needs of soldiers. For come in help to the soliders they have therefore established their own first aid post.

So I chose Elizabeth Knocker and Mairi Chisholm because for me they had the courage to go and treat the soldiers at the front even if it means putting them in danger and risking death in the war to help the soldiers of the First World War, not everyone has the courage they had to brave the war.
