I am currently attending the first year of a two year course in international trade at La Provence in Saint Etienne, France. During my course of study, I mainly focus on import export techniques, law, economics, management, business English and Spanish. I would like to enquire as to whether you have any openings for an eight- week internship starting on 2 may until 2 June within you company. Your firm has been highly recommended to me by XXX,  a former student who had the opportunity to do his internship with you.

During this internship I am expected to do some canvassing, that is to say explore foreign markets and find prospects for your company. I may also be able to help out with the-day-to-day work in the office
