HISTORY CHICAGO :

 -Chicago is an American musical with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. Set in Jazz Age Chicago, the musical is based on a 1926 play

- The show runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes

 -The original Broadway production opened in 1975 at the 46th Street Theatre and ran for 936 performances until 1977.

- The 1996 Broadway production holds the record as the longest-running musical revival and the longest-running American musical in Broadway history. It is the second longest-running show to ever run on Broadway, behind only The Phantom of the Opera.

-Chicago has many remake because so popular than many producers have inspired of the original

The story :

-the story is than roxie hart, who killed her lover, meets in prison Velma Kelly ,who killed her husband y sister, roxie want to lixe too Velma.

-at the base,it is inspired by real events At the time, female murderesses were media darlings, and following the two females acquittal in 1924, Watkins wrote a play, turning Gaertner into Velma Kelly and Annan into Roxie Hart
