I’m going to speak about the flexibility of the packbot:

A Packbot EOD offers multi-mission flexibility.

I will give you some descriptions of packbot utilisations:

Firstly, we can use it for surveillance and reconnaissance. Indeed , packbot evaluate danger zones and inaccessible areas, including urban settings, with real-time video, audio and sensor reading.

Then, we can use it like bomb identification and disposal, that is to identify and neutralize bombs in differents situations like roadside bombs and car bombs.

Another important mission is Sniper detection and Force protection because it can find gunmen hidden in buildings for example, therefore it reduces risks.

Then, we can use it for Route clearance that is to sweep for IEDs and other threats on roads,

mission routes and troop routes.

Another mission of the packbot is the Perimeter patrol, that is Secure and inspect large areas from the safety of positions miles away.

Then, we can use it for to move supplies, ammunition and other payloads to prevent injuries and enable personnel to focus their time and efforts on their missions.

The last mission that I am going to describe is the Structure Mapping, in the other words the packbot build and analyze blueprints of buildings, bunkers and other structures before sending in personnel. Find hidden hazards. Deploy and move personnel with more efficiency and less risk.

Now , I am going to speak about the easiness of use of the packbot

A PackBot is simple to learn and easy to use.

Depending on the robot’s configuration, PackBot uses one of two all-weather control units that run on Pentium processors. The robot relays real-time video, audio and other sensor readings while the operator stays at a safe standoff distance. The operator can view a 2-D or 3-D image of the robot on the control unit, allowing for precise positioning.

The control unit is battery-powered and can also be used with a supplementary power supply.

For optimal deployment, a single operator can control several PackBot robots from one control unit, providing the superior situational awareness and tactical information needed to protect personnel and ensure the success of every mission.
