Nowadays, we all have heroes whom we admire because they have done something special that we consider noble, brave and generous. But many people wonder what really a hero is and what are the actions that can make him called like that.

The notion of "Hero" can fall into two categories. On the one hand, there are imaginary heroes endowed with superpowers and who are in charge of saving the planet. On the other hand, there are real people who can have a role to play to change the world's history.

Firstly, the two types of heroes have the same focal point, the common good of the people. We watched a movie “invictus” about nelson mandela . It was the first black south African to lead his country. The film tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa's rugby team to help unite their country. Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Believing he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport,he encourages the springbrooks team that had won the rugby world cup of 1995.As President, he established a new constitution and he try to unify his nation and make “white “ and “black” leave in peace

We have also worked about the background of an American icon of hero: superman. According to what it is said , superman was born in the krypton planet and he was sent to the earth to heal the world ;to make it a better place. He try to help those in need with a total modesty trying to defend values such as freedom goodness equality …that will keep his new nation high and strong.

However, heroes aren’t necessarily very well-known . For example, before to read the text “civil right heroes” of Julian borger who was talking about rosa parks I didn’t know that this woman had become a international icon of resistance to racial segregation. To sum up quickly , she refused to obey to the bus driver that order her to leave her place in the bus to a white man. Her arrest provoked a bus boycott that marked the beginning of the end of segregation She did her best and had successed because she had became a civil right icon.

We had also seen another kind of hero that is a symbol in the world of the sport : john Carlos. Even though He won only the bronze-medal in the 200 meters race at the 1968 Summer Olympics, this man stayed well known, because he tried to show to the world the black discrimination (for example, he was standing in the third place of the podium without shoes and with black socket to show off the poverty of the black people; He became involved with the United States Olympic Committee and helped to organize the 1984 Summer Olympics. So “Sports Moment can Change the World »

For me, a greatest person who deserves to be called a hero should have human qualities like solidarity such as solidarity goodness..it doesn’t matter if the hero can make mistakes but the most important thing is to defend a value a honorable cause….
