1. Labelling GMOs :

Look at the below picture :  what do the demonstrators demand ?

        They are asking for the 37 proposition to be accepted.

This photo was taken on October 6th, 2012 in California in order to support "Proposition 37" launched by Senator Noreen Evans. Find out the content of this bill on the Internet.

         The aim of the proposition 37 is to label every products wich contains GMOs.

Is the situation similar in all the English-speaking countries ? What do you conclude ?

No it is not: USA and Canada seems more comfortable with the GMOs because they used it for a long time. GMOs are new for a lot of countries like GB or Australia so they don’t know it well.

How do you feel about labelling GMOs ? Justify your answer.

To my mind everyone should know what they eat. We don’t know if there is bad effect on health so we deserve at least to know what we have in our plates.

People who are singing in the video « want to know ». The guy told us that he just want to know the ingredients of his food, he’s scared of bad effect on health for kids and next generations. He calls the scientist « wizards »,talks about Monsanto. He also made a joke about our future: according to him if we wait for the results too long we will look like the creatures of Star Wars.  They just want to label GMOs products as the demonstrators of the picture.
