Abraham Lincoln was born on 12 February 1809 in Kentucky. He cames from a family of modest farmers, but he wanted to study. He learned to read and write, and after studied the law, Lincoln moved to Springfield.

He is elected 4 times congressman in Illinois state.

He obtained his first presidential mandate on 6 November 1860 and became the sixteenth President of the United States.

Abraham Lincoln is elected a second time on 8 November 1865, but he is assassinated on 14 April 1865 with the sniper.

He was a brave man who was fight all his life to achieved his goal: the abolition of slavery.

 Today Lincoln is considered by both historians and the public as one of the greatest presidents of the United States.

It is a model of determination and courage for me because he died for his ambitions.


Abraham Lincoln est né le 12 février 1809 dans le Kentucky. Il vient d'une famille d'agriculteurs modestes, mais il veut étudier. Il a appris à lire et à écrire et après avoir étudié la loi, Lincoln déménage à Springfield.

Par la suite il est élu 4 fois député l’Illinois

Il obtient son premier mandat présidentiel le 6 novembre 1860 et devient le seizième président des Etats-Unis.

Abraham Lincoln est élu une deuxième fois le 8 Novembre 1865, Mais il est assassiné le 14 avril 1865 au sniper.

C’était un homme courageux qui c’est battue toute sa vie pour atteindre son objectif : l’abolition de l’esclavage.

Aujourd’hui Lincoln est considéré tant par les historiens que par le public comme un des plus grands présidents des États-Unis.

C’est un modèle de détermination et de courage pour moi car il est mort pour ses ambitions.
