Recently I have a book that left its mark on me, it is called: The History of Pi in French and: Life of Pi, written by Yann Martel and published in 2001. It tells the story of the hero, Piscine Molitor "Pi" a young Indian, who explores questions of spirituality from childhood He crosses the Pacific Ocean for 227 days in a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger.

His name comes from his uncle in tribute to the Olympic swimming pool in Paris and this was the subject of much mockery like a child, so he decided to reduce it to "Pi" as the mathematical symbol. He is very interested in religion which does not fascinate. Moreover he adopts three because he really loves god, and he is especially focused on zoology because his father has a zoo.

The book will mainly talk about his sinking of Pi and Richard (the tiger) and especially their relationship a bit special, since he learns to train the animal despite his fear of being devoured.

I liked it a lot because it's a fantastic story that depicts two different beings, and a friendship which is the impossible at first but still real, and I find the book touching because sometimes despite the danger we can surpass and do incredible things. The plot is very interesting because we do not know if Pi will survive so to know it you must turn pages and that's what made me want to read it.Moreover it was adapted into a film that is super well done too.

I invite you to read it to know more, whether Pi will survive or not, if he and the tiger will succeed in finding land where to ask ,from my point of view is delivered really disappointed me.
