Andrea (Ann Hathaway), known by his friends Andy, landed his college in Pennsylvania, her journalism degree in hand, hoping to find his place in the middle of New York Press. Alas, nothing is released in areas of interest and it is found by chance to apply for Runway (a fictional Vogue), THE most prestigious fashion magazine made in New York, which does not really passionate about, priori.Emily was the assistant to the editor (Emily Blunt, discovered in My Summer of Love) mocks his appearance not "trendy" at all according to her, and suggests that it is not even the pain she goes to the office of Miranda Priestley, his boss (Meryl Streep, great). Miranda arrives before but Andy has cleared the scene, and receives in his office. Against all odds (Andy knows nothing about fashion), she hired. Cohabitation rather rough starts up between Emily and Andy, and the early initiation of the latter learns (often at his own expense) customs and traditions (and more habits and costumes) of rigor in this environment glamor.

She does not believe her luck: she landed a job that will open all doors, including those who are interested in journalism, and she looks forward to the time when she will leave Runway to go in search of a universe which is better. At first, her friends and her boyfriend the spoof, and it is not the last to ridicule the world of fashion. But gradually, his crazy schedule the cut of his private life, and even if it is just playing the game to look "with it" as his colleagues eager frills of any kind, it will eventually be overtaken by events. Miranda imposes high speed, which increases gradually as she earns new responsibilities with a serious and well done. What must happen happens: friends do not recognize most, her boyfriend is clueless and feel (rightly) totally helpless, and Emily becomes even more unbearable to face this colleague begins to encroach on its turf.

The inevitable choice is required then between a life of glitz and hard work, where appearances and personalities mingle in force mix, and a radical change. After a few mistakes, particularly sentimental, and some nice shots down which Andy would never have thought her capable, it undertakes no regrets in the way that seems best and this time it does not démordra decision .

A film based on the novel of learning a naive young girl coming from his campaign in the big city and making at his expense knowledge with the world of frivolity and careerism, the formula is classic and works well, but household the viewer moments of suspense (I except one, but for Miranda. trajectory is Andy, she traced so to speak early in the film). This does not preclude being funny, but the report quite fascinated that the film seems to speak with the environment it portrays the problem. In summary, a good movie on Sunday afternoon to see after a good meal if we want to be entertained without asking any questions. It should be noted that even when actors are good: Emily Blunt assistant aggressive, jealous and ill at ease confirms his talent as an actress, Anne Hathaway changes subtly in his interpretation and Meryl Streep is Andy imperial tyrant soft-spoken and whims inflexible it m?? still blown away. But, as Miranda looks velvety voice that indicates the end of inadmissibility can without hesitation: "That's all."
