Letter To Your MP

Thusday, the 24th of february,

Dear Minister,

As a citizen of your country, I woud like to contribute to cut down alcohol consumption. I think this problem concern all the population, and in my mind it all began at the youth age. That's why I suggest to organize conferences and interventions to prevent from the danger of alcohol, with, for example, physician, former alcoholic and other people who know what they're talking about. It would aim to warn young people before it's too late.

Those intervention could be done in middle school during school times, where classes would be divided in small groups.

Moreover, prevention could also be done during extra-classes activites, because it's true that athletes are bigger alcohol consumer than others.

Furthermore, the governement could use more radical solutions as taxes. Indeed if alcohol would become more expensive, people would certainly reduce their consumption.

The governement could also reduce the number of structures and institutions who are allowed to sell alcohol, for instance forbid it in supermarkets but not in bars and pubs. It would mean that the price to get a licence to sell alcohol would increase, and so alcohol price too, and it might descourage people to buy.

The alcohol limit driving can be reduced at 0 for example. In fact, this limit drop may stop people to drink when they should drive. Indeed it's more complicated to drink for people who live far from the city because it implies to drive with alcohol in the blood.

I believe strongly, that the government have to take decisions to reduce the alcohol consumption by taking youth into account. I hope you have considered my concerns about our society and I look forward to see the measure you will take.
