On May 8, 1886, Doctor John Pemberton, pharmacist of Atlanta (Georgia), invented a new fizzy drink. He wanted to find an original and refreshing syrup. He developed a mixture including nut extract of cola, sugar, cafeine, the sheets of coke and a compound of vegetable extracts.

On May 29, 1886, the first advertisement was published in «The Atlanta Journal".

Coca Cola was present everywhere in the United States: in the theaters, stations, department stores and even in the open air. From 1886, they will distribute Coca-Cola. It is sold with glass at the cost of 5 cents.

In 1888, another pharmacist of Atlanta, Asa Candler, repurchase all the rights of the formula of drink for 2300 dollars. It works over again the composition and leads to that which is always used nowadays.

The trade secret of Coca Cola is one of kept best in the world.

In 1919, «The Coca-Cola Company " is yielded for 25 million dollars by Candler to a group of business men directed by Ernest Wooddruff of the Trust Company of Georgia, he dopes the sales with helps of new actions of marketing.
