Effectivement, nous pouvons désormais à partir de notre téléphone portable savoir si un produit est vertueux et durable. Le fondateur de GoodGuide se nomme Dara O’Rourke, qui est un professeur de l’environnement et de la politique du travail. Un jour, alors qu’il appliquait de la crème solaire à sa fille, il se demandait si ce produit n’était pas nocif pour sa santé.

C’est à partir de ce moment là qu’il eu cette idée de génie : GoodGuide qui regroupe un ensemble de produits sûrs, sains et écologiques. GoodGuide dispose d’une base de données provenant d’études scientifiques, des rapports des gouvernements ou encore de recherche effectué par le personnel.

Si un produit est mal note, il est alors remplacé par un article qui a un score plus élevé. GoodGuide a aussi crée une nouvelle application qui permet de savoir si les consommateurs sont honnêtes ou non dans leurs achats. Cette application peut également comparer les prix afin que les consommateurs fassent de bonnes affaires car elle est en partenariat avec le site PriceGrabber.com. Grâce à GoodGuide, se renseigner sur les produits que l’on achète est une idée qui va se généraliser.

Question 1:

Regarding my private life, I would say that mobile applications have literally changed my life. In fact, I use mostly applications Facebook or Twitter to stay in touch with my friends and share my photos in real time if I want.

But it’s not all. Instead of buying a newspaper or watch the news on TV I am now aware of what is happening around the world through the application Le Monde. I love traveling and discover new places so I use the application.

I love to travel and discover new places so I use the application: SNCF to view train times and eventually book my ticket online. I’m also a movie buff therefore I consult projected films together with movie times thanks to the application: AlloCiné. In my professional life, applications for mobile phones are very useful.

Question 2:

First of all, when we buy food we have to avoid wastage. For example, working in food banks to recover the surplus and educate children in school canteens in respect of food. But it’s not all. We need to reduce our waste by reducing packaging, or by recycling. We can also increase sustainable procurement and reduce the frequency of delivery of goods. As regards the clothes we must choose second-hand clothes or in organic cotton, washing his clothes in cold in a washing machine class A , does not ironing his clothes and allow to dry, reduce the frequency of washing or by giving a second life instead of throw: reuse, donation and sale. For electronic equipment, we must reduce the electricity consumption of equipment and the toxicity of some of their components and increase recycling rates.
