Partie 1 :

Le texte parle de deux modèles de chef d’entreprise qui existent : Il y a donc les chefs d’entreprises qui veulent être connus et les autres qui préfèrent ne pas l’être. En effet, il y a d’un côté les chefs qui ont besoin d’une notoriété absolue, être reconnu par les médias et d’un autre côté nous avons deux qui préfèrent briller en petite communauté comme lors d’un cocktail organisé au nom de l’entreprise où ils peuvent se mettre en avant en même temps que leur entreprise.

Il y a les chefs d’entreprise qui veulent être connu et qui le sont mais dont les résultats de leur entreprise sont moindres, surtout en période de crise comme il y’en a une en Europe. Dans ces situations là, le mieux à faire est de faire profil bas comme le font les chefs qui ne préfèrent pas que l’on mette un visage sur leur entreprise toute l’année.

Des personnes connues comme Jim Collins pense que la seule solution pour garder les pieds sur terre et que l’entreprise fonctionne c’est de faire profil bas, preuve d’humilité et de rester humble. Cela dit, le fait de faire profil bas ne garantit pas toujours le succès de l’entreprise.

Mais des personnages comme Bill Gates ou encore Steve Jobs qui sont la définition même de la réussite n’ont en aucun cas fait profil bas et pourtant la réussite est le mot que l’on peut associer à leurs images.

George Bernard pense que le progrès dépend des hommes non raisonnables.

Partie 2 :

In my opinion, a good boss is someone who knows how to run a company. He must be the heart of the company. Without the heart, there is no way to function properly.

The skills and qualities a boss needs to be considered good are knowing the strengths and weaknesses of his employees and asserting exactly what they want to them so there would be no confusion. They must keep calm during tense occurrences. If the employer does something the boss disapproves of, it is important to remain professional. They need to listen before a crisis happens, and if it does happen, they must not hide. They need to take charge and step up to the fact that the crisis happened. The best boss is someone who shares everything that happens in a company with the employees. Keeping secrets causes distrust and unfaithfulness within the company and employers. A good boss should not strut around acting superior than everybody else. In order to have a successful running company, all power is essential, not just the boss's power. It would be nice if they related with the employees and displayed to them that they, as well, are a person too.

If a boss has a goal, he needs to motivate his employees to have the same goal and do everything that is possible in that company to reach that goal. To motivate the employees, the boss needs to lay out why they have this goal in the first place and how it would benefit the company.

All in all, everybody should like the boss. Liking the boss does not mean the boss has to always be nice. It means they need to be fair to all the employees. He needs to push people to achieve success and reward them afterwards. Even a simple award would be okay, like saying a simple "thank you" to the
