1. PART 1 : Message

1) The caller’s name is Nicole Smith.

2) Mrs. Smith’s email address is: nicole.smith@french-escapade.co.uk

3) She wants to give more information about her group’s request to let the French travel agent make a quotation.

4) There are 7 people in that group. They don’t really care where the chalet is as long is close to the coast, except in Côte d’Azur. These young people are interested in watersports and would like to know if there is a night life in the village.

5) Because Nicole won’t be available the day after, she asks her French colleague to email her the quotation in return with more details. She would like to know where the village is exactly, and what the local region is like.

She asks for having a short description of the chalet, more details about the village’s facilities and a rough prices guide. Her group wants to know what sporting activities are available in the village and in the immediate locality. They also want to have information about the night life in the village.

2. PART 2: Holiday Villages.

1) To find the most suitable chalet for the group, it would be absolutely necessary to select the closer one to the coast, able to provide at least 7 beds.

2) If I were the French travel agent, I would select “LANIAC HOLLIDAY VILLAGE’’.

Actually, it is built around a lake, at only 5 minutes by walk from the white sandy beaches of the Breton coastline and can accommodate up to 8 people.

3. PART 3: The email in return

Many thanks for your call.

LANIAC HOLLIDAY VILLAGE is located in the north west coast of Brittany, near to Saint Pol de Léon, a traditional fishing port. The weather is windy but sunny thanks to The Manche!

Each fully-furnished chalet has a living room (TV and fireplace), a kitchen corner (dishwasher and micro-wave), bathroom and separated toilets, and 2 bedrooms (1 double bed and 1 bunk bed per room). Outside, there is a terrace and a garden lounge.

In the village, there are 2 restaurants, 1 cafeteria, and a bar, which becomes a night club from 11 PM. Several tennis courts, a heated pool, a gym room and some rental bikes are available.

Close to the village, fun boarding, sailing, fishing, riding horse or archery can be done. If they like watersports, the will enjoy this place!

Concerning the prices, it depends on the season (between 65 € and 142€ per night). Some extra costs have to be added (local stay tax, kitchen linen and towels, extra cleaning…). The included chalet cleaning is done once a week, and the check out one can be done by the guest for free, or charged (48€).
