To what extent can companies be socially responsible and remain competitive? (200 words or +)

Nowadays, companies has to be socially responsible …Firstable, we will define what does « social responsibility » is. Actually, it is when a company creates a balance between the economy, the productivity, the environment and the social. All of these specifications are link with sustainable development. But the problem is, how can they still be competitive as they respect this responsibility?

These last years, trends are at the protection of the nature. In my mind, this point is really important to emphasize for a company, because this is such an important thing for people, it began to be one of their bigger attempt. If a firm shows its engagement in the sustainable development, the customer can be more confident with it. So, for the company it is a good way to attract their customers.

Then, on the social plan, the employees need to have good conditions of work. For example, the company can bring them motivation, incentives or not. They can have promotions, bonus, wich will garner their productivity. But also sometimes just a handshake, or any sign of encouragement can increase their work. About human relations, the customers are really important, because there are the people who made the company run! So if it wants to be competitive and also socially responsible, the society should take care of their expectations.

The social responsibility can bring an establishment for a better way of the company's governance. Actually, the society thanks to this social responsibility can limited for example, its costs concerning the environment, so this is a kind of bonus. By these ways, companies can remain competitive whereas being socially responsible. I think this responsibility is getting more and more important nowadays, and helps firms to grow.
