Part 1 – A message

1. The caller’s name is Nicola Smith.

2. Her e-mail address is nicola.smith@french-escapades.co.uk

3. She wants me to give me the information I needed.

4. - There are seven people in the group.

- They would all like to stay in the same chalet. They don’t have any particular

request about where the chalet is, they would just like it to be near the coast, but

not on the Côte D’Azur.

- They’re particularly interested in water sports, and they also want to know if there

is any sort of night life in the village they’ll stay in.

- They are quite young.

5. Nicola wants, in return, to be informed about the place the group will stay in. Indeed, they’d like to have details of where it is and what the local region is like. Nicola then asks me to e-mail her with a description of the chalet, the village’s facilities and a rough price guide. Also, she asks for a list of the sport activities available, both in the village and the immediate locality, and some information about the night life.

Part 2 – Holiday villages

1. Since there are seven people in this group and they all want to stay together, I’ll take into consideration the size of the chalet, and if it is suitable for a group of seven young people. Also, I know that they don’t have particular request except that they want to be near the coast, and not on the Côte D’Azur. With that known, I’m going to search for something located near the Atlantic coast for example, the Breton one or the English Channel.

2. The village which is the most suitable is, in my opinion, Laniac. Indeed, in the Laniac holiday village there are ninety-two self-contained chalets, capable of accommodating up to eight people. Also, it is located around a small lake, and it’s only five minutes’ walk away from the Breton coast line, which is perfect for lovers of water sports. To back up my words, I would like to add that the first village, Saint-Jean-de-Ré isn’t suitable, because it can’t welcome more than six people per chalet, just like Lizaru. Also, both of Chanac and Beausite are too far from the coast, and finally, Cap de Giens is situated on the Côte D’Azur.

Part 3 – The e-mail

to: nicola.smith@french-escapades.co.uk

from: mb@cned.com

object: information about the chalet

Dear Nicola,

Just like you asked me, I’m writing you this e-mail to provide you all the information you need for your clients.

With what you told me about them and their expectations, I’ve found a Holliday Village that I think would be suitable. It’s located in Laniac, and it’s five minutes’ walk away from the Breton coast line. The village is composed of ninety-two self-contained
