Ecrit anglais – An Horror Story

-Hi Kate!  How was your family vacation?

-Very well, by tale the second something very strange happened to us, and even if it seems crazy, it is the truth.

-Can you tell me?

-Of course, the day went very well and then, in the evening, we went to sleep with John after putting our daughter, Julia, to bed. Shortly afterwards, while we were both sleeping, Julia came to wake us and tell us that a girl had entered her room. We panicked thinking he was a thief and so we searched the whole house but found no one. After those long minutes of research, John suggested that it was probably a bad dream and that we should all go back to sleep. Unfortunately, Julia came back an hour later to tell the same story. Obviously, we told him to go back to bed and think of something beautiful to have a good dream.

As you know me I'm very quickly stressed so I couldn't get back to sleep at all and I went to see Julia to see if everything was better for her. That's when the really weird things really started. Julia was always awake and she was playing with invisible things and talking in a vacuum. Then, she surprised me and so she introduced me to her new friend, Chloe, whom she knew very well how to describe me and her fantastic toys apparently.

I was very upset and I didn't know what to think about it.

-Maybe she was an imaginary friend?

-I don't think so because the rest of the week, after leaving this house, Julia was really sad that she left and couldn't see her new friend anymore. But when he's an imaginary friend, you can see him whenever you want and wherever you want, right? But that wasn't the case at all.

And then, on my way home, I did some research to get a clearer picture of the story and learned that 40 years ago a 7-year-old girl was abducted and never found. This little girl is also called Chloe and her research photos fit Julia's description perfectly.

- It's true that ‘is a really scary story!
