Pocahontas was born in 1595 and died in 1617. She comes from an Amerindian tribe in Virginia. His tribe is called Powhantan. Her real names are Motaoka, which means "little feather of snow" and Amonute, which is the practice of "dream vision." Pocahontas, which means "capricious girl," was her name when she was a child.

In 1907 the British landed in America, they needed Indians to find food and barter.

They found a city they named "Jamestown", when Pocahontas went there often and she was an intermediary between the natives and the settlers.

There was a lot of conflict between the two peoples, Captain John Smith was imprisoned and had to be executed for a ritual but this one was saved by Poacahontas.

In 1611 English politics became aggressive against the Indians

In 1612 Pocahontas is 17 years old and is a prisoner in the colonists, she is used as pawns to have discussions with the natives. But this captivity of the enemy will allow her to learn their languages, and she will be baptized under the name of Rebecca.

In 1614 she married John Smith's, thanks to this marriage there will be a peace until 1622. In 1615 she became pregnant with a boy named Thomas.

In 1616 she art with her family and her husband in England but in 1617 when they decide to return to America, Poachontas falls ill and finds death because of the polution of london

and today Pocahontas represents the history of the Indians in Virginia. This story was known worldwide thanks to the Disney cartoon.
