Scenario:

Storey (92) suggests that the traditional approach to Labour /employee contracts has undergone significant change.

Task:

Identify and discuss from BOTH the Employer and Employee perspectives how the employer/ee relationship has developed.

• Individual assessment contribution (an individual set of supporting documentation from each student equivalent to 1500 words absolute maximum); Assessment Weighting 50%

The essay should be based on the following outline:

1. Abstract: A statement which includes your objectives and your conclusions (10 marks and 150 words)

2. Introduction: A statement of objectives (what you propose to do) with a statement of what is not included. (15 marks and 225 wo

rds)

3. Main Body: (any TWO issues each with 25 marks and 400 words for EACH of the Two issues)

3.2 Labour Management

3.3 Relations with Stewards

3.4 Conflict Handling

4. Summary/Conclusions. What did you find, these should be related specifically to your objectives (15 marks and 300 words)

A further 10 marks are awarded for Structural, Construction and Referencing demonstrations.
