The battle of Britain is known to be an important part of annihilation war lead by the Nazi Germans. It was an important battle for the history and the depends of the 1st world war because if Britain had fall, the war would have been probably won by the Germans. That's why German army had to invade the United-Kingdom to win the war. That's why they decided to attack them by the only way that can work against a protected island, the air. In fact, everyday Germans plane were dropping bombs everywhere in the English territory, especially in London where a lot of buildings, houses and street were destroyed continually during the battle of England.

To protect the London population from the bombs, there was only one place where peoples could be safe: The underground. It was actually the world's largest bomb sheiter and thousands people had to slept there as the blitz continued, as explain the source A. The priority was to evacuate the childrens , hundreds of thousands of children were evacuated from major cities and different newspaper took regularly news from this childrens to reassure the parents whose had to stay at the different English cities, like the newspapers « RADIO TIMES » in the source B.
